Job Description
Position Summary: The Senior Product Manager (SPM), Global
Marketing will lead development and management of the global initiatives for
one of the key OTC categories. Responsibilities include developing global
strategies, leading commercial geographic expansion efforts, driving the
innovation pipeline, and facilitating strong marketing plan execution for
global and multi-country initiatives. The SPM, Global Marketing will partner
with cross-functional teams including R & D, Medical Affairs, Manufacturing,
and Country-specific Sales and Marketing. This position requires strong leadership, influencing skills, and
marketing expertise in order to help strengthen the companys consumer
marketing capabilities, develop cohesive global strategies and facilitate plan
execution within a key OTC category.
Specific Job Duties:
Undertake category, business and competitive assessment to develop and refine
global strategies
Assess and prioritize key business initiatives in an environment of rapid
change
Drive advancement of key global consumer and professional marketing
initiatives to support global franchise growth
Partner with regional/country commercial and global cross-functional teams to
develop and assist with strategic plans
Evaluate new product and claims ideas and drive expansion
of innovation pipeline
Facilitate meetings for Global Category Steering team
Develop global sharing assets/best practices and bring
robust marketing expertise (ie., brand books)
Qualifications:
BA/BS in relevant discipline required; MBA strongly preferred
8-12 years experience in US and/or global OTC marketing (some global marketing
experience preferred)
Strong leadership, interpersonal, people management, and influencing skills
Knowledge of key functional areas necessary to launch products and build
brands (e.g. R & D, Regulatory, Retail and Professional Sales, Marketing,
Advertising)
Excellent communication skills including ability to
present in front of Sr. Management
Preference for action vs. reaction, ability to focus on
important business drivers vs. tangents and strategic thinking skills
Be able to range from managing big picture to details,
while demonstrating leadership presenceJob: Marketing
