Title: Crystalens Outcomes Specialist
Location: United States-Oklahoma-Oklahoma City - Virtual Office
The position involves assisting Crystalens customers in understanding the clinical aspects of working with the Crystalens.

Responsible for the applications training of physicians, nurses and technicians at B L educational courses as needed
Responsible for clinical in-service and training of B L customers prior to and following delivery of the Crystalens
Assisting surgeons and staff with IOL power verification.
Ensuring that clinical findings from post-op visits are understood by surgeons and staff.
Provide on-call assistance via telephone for B & L customers
At least five years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, Optometrist, or Ophthalmologist with an emphasis in the area of cataract evaluation and surgery. This position requires experience in pre-operative measurements (keratometry, corneal topography, and axial length measurement), IOL power calculations, cataract surgery and post-op care. In addition, at least 3 years experience in an ophthalmic industry setting with an emphasis on clinical work related to cataract and/or corneal refractive surgery. The candidate must have excellent communication and teaching skills in order to interact effectively with surgeons and staff.

Specific requirements are as follows:

Pre-op: Experience using manual keratometry and the IOLMaster in determining the corneal power used in IOL calculations. An understanding of interpreting corneal topographies and how they relate to cataract refractive outcomes. Experience in using both immersion ultrasound and the IOLMaster in measuring axial length. The position requires the ability to evaluate scans and keratometric readings in order to determine the quality and validity of axial length measurements.

IOL power calculations: The position requires a working knowledge of basic and advanced IOL power calculations.

Surgical: The position requires knowledge of patient prep, incision and paracentesis construction, cataract extraction, IOL insertion, and stabilization.

Post-op: The position requires in depth knowledge of correct procedures to follow when evaluating visual acuity, measuring post-op keratometric readings, refraction, and correlating visual acuity findings with refractive findings.

Additional Skills/Requirements:
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to establish priorities and to meet goals.
Highly motivated and results driven.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Must be willing to travel 60-70% and including some weekends.
