Title: National Sales Analyst (CVS)
Location: United States-Rhode Island-Rhode Island - Virtual Office
The primary role of this position is to uncover business opportunities at our top retailers (with a focus on CVS) that will drive topline volume, generate additional revenue, and improve customer P & L’s The National Sales Analyst will prepare and participate in presentations to external customers with a focus on CVS and internal partners on topics including business updates, forecasting, promotional effectiveness, and other ad hoc analysis that will help identify opportunities, drive sales, and track business results. The National Sales Analyst will identify insights and formulate recommendations that will support the needs of Sales Directors and Regional Business Directors. The National Sales Analyst will report to the Director of Sales and Category Management.

Use syndicated and pos data to prepare and deliver presentations to major national retailers with a focus on CVS with information and recommendations in support of key initiatives. These include:

Trends and opportunities

Business Planning

Promotional Effectiveness
*
Attends strategic customer meetings major national retailers to present analytics, insights and recommendations to grow the business.

Mine Extra Care database and present insights to CVS.

Attends strategic internal meetings (Business Updates, Account Planning, SWAT Team Meetings, etc) to present analytics, insights and recommendations to grow the business
*
Conduct pre and post promotional analysis across all branded businesses including ROI calculations and provide promotion performance effectiveness and efficiency recommendations
*
Assist Sales Directors and Region Business Directors in data collection for weekly and monthly forecasting
*
Alert respective Sales Director and Region Business Director of issues surfaced via analysis and regular reporting
*
Prepare presentations/templates for business reviews, business planning, account operating plans, SWAT team meetings, forecasting meetings
*
Responsible for creation and distribution of weekly, monthly and quarterly scorecard reports, and new item reporting and tracking

Four Year Degree Required
*
3 -4 years analytical experience within Consumer Packaged Goods
*
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
*
Syndicated sales data software experience (Nielsen a plus)
*
Category management experience a plus
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*
Must have the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact based solutions/recommendations
