Position Summary
Provide SolidWorks CAD drafting support to new product development and process improvement activities.

Specific Job Duties
Job Duty:
Create 3-D CAD models of parts and end items.

Assemble packet requesting and justifying revisions to controlled documents.

Generate procedural documents for manufacturing based upon information provided by manufacturing personnel.

Participate in the instrument prototype development process, encouraging use of current parts and readily manufactured designs.

Participate in new product development activities including gathering product definition information, attending and participating in new product concept meetings and design reviews.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent plus specialized training (i.e. completion of a related apprenticeship program). Some SolidWorks training preferred.

Experience:
Requires 5-7 years exp. working with manufacturing processes. PC proficiency. Some CAD drafting experience is preferred.

Special Skills:
Willing and able to achieve SolidWorks proficiency through classroom and hands-on training within 3-6 months of hire. Must understand manufacturing processes, be well organized, and use a disciplined, evidence-based approach to solving problems.Job: Manufacturing
