This
position is responsible for global technical service aspects of Bausch  Lomb

Specific Job Duties:

Provide
service expertise to product design and development teams for new product
development, product enhancements, and product changes. Interface and collaborate with Design and
Research, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Manufacturing representatives
as necessary. Interface and collaborate
with internal technical depot repair operations team for product performance
issues, repair issues, and tooling requirements
Provide
technical support including Hotline phone support for B L, affiliate,
distributor field service personnel, depot service centers and support
technical support representatives with customer issues.
Develop
training material for global use and perform technical training for the B L
cataract/ vitreo-retinal product line. 
Maintain all aspects of the technical training program such as
processes, procedures, and online Learning Management System administration
while continuously exploring opportunities to enhance and improve the program.
Correspond
and interact with customers, B L sales and applications representative requests
and provide technical expertise where necessary.
Develop
and deliver technical documentation including service notes for the B L
cataract/ vitreo-retinal products to the domestic and international service organization. Write and update Standard Operating
Procedures where needed, initiate approval processes, provide procedure
training where applicable and distribute to the domestic and international
service organization.
Provide
support as necessary for the development and administration of the applicable
service reporting tool(s). Review and
analyze service reports to monitor and provide expertise in areas of
improvement.
Coordinate
with service operations and provide technical needs analysis for service parts. Work with service operations representatives
on inventory level, parts handling, packaging, returns and PO advice.

Position Summary-

Peristaltic pump cartridge assembly and tubing attachment
Tubing and cassette bundling using a fixture –process aides
Filling parts in small pouches and sealing using a sealing machine with foot pedal and manual sealers
Attach inserts onto cassettes and inspect
Measure angular dimension using a production fixture on the peristaltic cartridge prior to insertion of drape tubing and cartridge

Assemble parts into trays or pouches for finished product using SOPs and drawings
Inserting any one or multiple parts into a tray, manually passed from operator to operator or on an automatic feed line (Form, Fill, Seal Machine) in a timely manner with correct inspections maintained as per normal SOPs

Operating a sealing machine to seal tyvek to polystyrene trays.
Affixing pre-printed bar-coded, expiration date labels to sealed trays
Package sealed trays into corrugated boxes according to SOPs
Stack pallets and wrap pallets according to SOPs

Participation in transporting materials from a stockroom into the Environmentally controlled room
Requires removal of all outer bags or coverings from material coming in from stockroom to be used in building parts.
Transfer of materials from dirty” to clean” carts following SOPs

Job Duty:
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Resolves Match Exceptions &amp; Hold Outs, working with the supplier, Receiving and Accounts Payable. Utilizes reports and data in PeopleSoft and Omniflow; Researches and investigates history of PO’s, receipts, invoices and payments to reconcile discrepancies between any of the above transactions; Fixes issues in system directly or provides direction to Accounts Payable as to how to resolve the issue; Provides feedback to suppliers on their account status.

Reviews rejected parts and process return to vendor paperwork and part returns. Works with cross-functional team to determine if rejected parts are due to a supplier issue, may include review of specifications and past quality history; Explains rejections to supplier and requests Return Authorizations from them; Requests completion of system transactions and moves product to dock for shipping.

Works on special projects, as assigned.
